ST. JUDE MUSIC MINISTRY - Cantors & Instrumentalists
Cantors serve dual roles at our Sunday Masses. The cantor sings or
chants the verses of some songs (like the Responsorial Psalm, Alleluia
verse, Lamb of God, and other parts the assembly customarily doesn’t
sing); and the cantor supports the singing of the community as it
sings familiar hymns, songs, and service music. Cantors are scheduled
to sing at all our Sunday Masses, usually once or twice each month.
Instrumentalists beautify and dignify our music ministry, especially
during Christmas, Easter, and more solemn seasons and Sundays. Pianists,
organists, guitarists, bassists, percussionists, woodwind, string,
and brass players are welcome to share their talents to accompany
our sung prayer. Practice and Mass schedules can be customized to
mutually convenient times.
