CAPITAL CAMPAIGN - HOME PAGE
Our Dream Became Reality!!
In the fall of 1999 a task force was formed to assess the needs of St. Jude Parish & school. After a tireless effort by this group of parishioners they presented their finds to the administration and parish organizations the needs of the parish. It was determined with the growth in the area that in the future we needed more classroom space (classrooms in the school which now held more specialized classes).
So the task force stated to look into the scope putting a new building on the property for the use of the entire parish. This would include classrooms, storage, meeting space and a new gymnasium. Once this was approved by the Archdiocese, construction began in 2005.Our dream became reality when Rev. Richard Dressman dedicated our beautiful facility on May 21, 2006. The original projected cost of the facility was 2.3 million dollars. After tireless campaigning we received pledges of almost 2 million dollars which some are still being collected.
In the mean time we obtained a loan from the Archdiocese to cover the construction costs at the time (Loan Amount $1,061,700.00). Today this outstanding loan stands at; $752,565.91 which needs to paid off by 2020. We pay a monthly principal and interest payment of $10,000.00 from our regular parish budget.
If you would like to help pay down this debt please use your blue campaign envelopes in your regular Sunday collection envelope packet or send donation to the parish office marked Capital Campaign. All these proceeds help pay down the loan to the Diocese. Together we can eliminate this debt before it comes due!
