President's Message:
Welcome to another school year! As I begin my second year as President of the PTO, I have renewed hope and enthusiasm. The PTO works diligently to bring the students and teachers together to provide a solid learning environment while improving the facilities. We encourage everyone to join us as we continue to build on this foundation and the strengthening of the educational experience.

The PTO has worked hard to put the proceeds from participation in the fundraisers and events that it sponsors directly back in to the school. We have made significant progress over the years. This past year the PTO has earmarked $25,000 towards a science lab which we anticipate opening for the start of 2008-2009 year. Additionally, the PTO has funded a Teacher Continuing Education Fund in the amount of $5,000. These are just a few of the many things that PTO has accomplished. In this school handbook is a more complete list. I hope you agree that it takes the participation of the entire St. Jude community to make such great investments in the school and most importantly our children.

The only way PTO and all of us as parents can continue to ensure the best possible education for our children is to participate in all aspects of the school. This includes volunteering of your time and talents. This sends a powerful message to your children that together we can make a difference. I challenge each of you to make this commitment for yourself, St. Jude, and most importantly your child. Thank you to those who have volunteered in the past, we hope you will continue to show your concern and support. For those that are new or have not been able to volunteer in the past, don’t wait, join us today!

Loyally,

Kim Cole
