ST. JUDE PTO - MARKET DAY

PTO participates in a food co-op called Market Day. Market Day
has been in operation since 1975 and has grown to include thousands
of schools just like ours. Each month restaurant-quality food
products can be purchased from companies such as Tropicana, Tyson,
Smuckers, Campbell’s, and Kraft. These products are competitively
priced, and PTO earns a profit on the purchases. Order forms go
home each month through the Wednesday envelope. Parents fill out
the form and send it back to school. There also is the option of
ordering online at www.marketday.com. In the past, this PTO fundraiser
has generated $5,000-$6,000 profit a year. Volunteers are always
needed to help on the evening of pick-up of the products and to make
reminder telephone calls.
