Makeup National- Saturday August 19th 10am

Player evaluations for the 2018 season of St. Jude baseball are set for the first weekend of August. There are league updates for the upcoming 2018 season that will impact these evaluations.

As always, there will be a St. Jude team for your player in the 2018 season, regardless of making a National team or not. Our goal is to ensure a team for all our players. Depending on the numbers of players for 2018, we may have 8U National and 10U National teams. The exact rules for these new divisions are being discussed by the league. Please attend the tryout based upon you player’s 2018 grade.

Players who made the National team for the 2017 season are not guaranteed a spot for 2018. All players are encouraged to attend their division’s tryout, but if for some reason are unable, contact the tryout coordinator. Exceptions can be made for players to attend another session and a makeup tryout will be scheduled as needed.

Please note, players not making a National team will be rostered on St. Jude’s American team in the appropriate age group. Players will be evaluated and rated by a group of impartial observers. After tryouts, the coaches and St. Jude Baseball Committee will determine if a National team will be fielded. This will be based upon coach preference, player ability, team composition, and number of players signing up in each age level. At this point, it is not certain that St. Jude will field a 13U National team; this depends on number of players and league rules. For any questions related to tryouts, please contact tryout coordinator Brian Hutchinson (515-9846, hutchbp2@yahoo.com).
