Baptism

"Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments.   Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons and daughters of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission..." (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1213)

Infant Baptism

We are happy to baptize your child/children here at St. Jude. Parents wishing to have their child/children baptized should call the parish office to make reservations to enroll in the parental preparation program. This program consists of one meeting held on a Monday evening in meeting room 3 of the Parish Center, every other month at 7:00 p.m.. The program offers an opportunity to meet other parents and to understand more fully the choice they are making in sharing the gift of faith with their children.

Expectant parents are asked to call the parish secretary approximately 4 months before the anticipated birth date to enroll in the class.

Parents who have attended the preparation program may call the parish office to make an appointment for the baptism. Baptisms are celebrated during or immediately following the 11:00a.m. Mass.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you."
--Matthew 28:19-20
